You don't have to use this just against bears, in fact a lot of people use this for racoons that may show up in the day time, or groundhogs. There are even people that live in areas where pepper spray is restricted, ex: New York, which they can legally purchase this bear mace since it is classified as an animal repellent, which they than can use against humans to protect themselves. We don't endorse you to use it against humans, but we can confirm that it works just as well as our normal pepper products, and even better since it is more potent.
