We came upon a story of a person using pepper spray earlier this week, and this is a really touching story because his pepper spray really protected this mans life. There is a clerk that works at a gas station in Mesa, Arizona. He was working, a couple of men came in the store demanding that they give him cigarettes for a cheaper price. The clerk firmly said no, as he should. They came around the counter, started to push him, the clerk grabbed the pepper spray within hands reach, and deployed it. This pepper spray, in my opinion, saved this guys life. Obviously these criminals intended to do some harm if they initiated a push. When tension, aggression builds up, deadly things will happen. When the clerk dispersed the pepper spray the other criminal(s) backed up, and the ones that shoved him ran for their lives. Success!
So, what’s the important thing to remember from this story? I don’t care if you have pepper spray or a rocket-propelled grenade, keep it within hands reach so that you can easily deploy it within a second. That extra second can cost your life, he’s very lucky he had pepper spray because if you are dealing with more than one criminal it can get very bad, fast.
