This device utilizes a rechargeable built-in battery and comes with charger. Under the cap of the tube there are two buttons; one for the stun gun and the other for the flashlight.

NEW and Improved feature: There is a disable pin with this device. There is a wrist strap that you wear on your wrist, and it adapts right into the product on the bottom. If for whatever reason that your stun gun gets grabbed away from you, the disable pin will come come out of it, preventing the device from operating.
